Not just speed
Readobo exercises build perception speed, attention and reading comprehension alongside raw speed.
Reduce eye jumps and grab more words per glance. Raise your WPM with progressively faster drills.
Train focused attention and scanning speed with Schulte tables and peripheral-vision drills.
Build the capacity that holds what you just read, with exercises aimed straight at working memory.
Cut subvocalization with RSVP and guided reading, keep attention in flow, reduce mind-wandering.
More than eye drills
Speeding through text you did not understand is worthless. Readobo tracks whether your gains in speed cost you comprehension.
Questions after each passage show that your speed did not come at the cost of understanding.
Turn a chapter of the book you are reading into an exercise and train on your own text.
Your speed and comprehension rate are saved, so you can watch them change over weeks on your own chart.
If you have read this far, the list is for you: launch notice plus a discount code offered nowhere else.
Science-based
Each looks simple on its own — what does the work is the order and the dose. Every exercise unlocks at its own level and gets harder as you progress.

Good to know
You progress along a gamified roadmap with mini-exercises that get faster over time: clear a level and the next one unlocks. Alongside the eye drills, reading and comprehension exercises sit on the same roadmap.
No. The exercises also train attention, concentration, working memory and visual processing speed — a kind of mental gym.
The first chapter is free, so you can download it and see whether the program suits you. The remaining chapters and the Free Practice area unlock with a subscription. Pricing will be announced at launch — everyone on the early access list starts with a discount code offered nowhere else.
Yes. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play and you can cancel there at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
With regular practice, most people notice a clear difference in reading speed and focus within a few weeks.
Readobo does not teach test technique — reading the question first, eliminating distractors and so on come from doing practice tests. But on a timed reading section like the SAT or GRE, most of what you lose goes into reading the passage, not into technique: drifting back over lines, moving word by word, losing focus halfway. That is exactly what the exercises target. It will not answer the question for you; it leaves you more time to answer it.
It depends on the test, so here is the honest breakdown. The LSAT is the strongest fit: four passages of roughly 400-600 words with 26-28 questions in 35 minutes, which leaves about three minutes to read each passage. The Enhanced ACT is close behind, with four passages of about 650-750 words in 40 minutes. Both reward reading a long text once, accurately, at pace. The digital SAT is a different shape: it no longer uses long multi-paragraph passages, just 25-150 word excerpts with one question each — but you face 54 of them in 64 minutes, so reading efficiency still decides whether you finish. The GRE and GMAT gain the least here; their passages are shorter and reading comprehension is a smaller slice of the section. In none of these does Readobo teach test technique — that comes from practice tests, and the two work alongside each other.
That is called regression, and it eats a large share of your reading time. Usually it is not that you failed to understand the sentence — it is an eye habit, and you rarely notice it happening. Guided reading and RSVP drills target exactly this: they move the text at a controlled pace so your eyes cannot drift backwards. Over time that pace becomes a habit.
This is the most common criticism of speed reading, and it is a fair one: racing through a text you did not absorb is worthless. That is why Readobo does not measure speed on its own — reading drills are followed by comprehension questions, and your speed and comprehension rate are recorded together. If your speed climbs while your comprehension falls, you see it on your own chart. The tachistoscope and flash-recognition exercises also train working memory directly, which is the capacity that holds what you just read.
On a long question your time goes to two places: reading the passage and working out the answer. The second is technique and comes from practice tests. But most of the time is lost in the first — instead of reading the passage once and understanding it, you read it two or three times without noticing. Readobo targets that first part: fewer regressions, reading in chunks rather than word by word, less subvocalization. If you can take the passage in on a single pass, the time you save goes straight to answering. It is not a shortcut, it is a change of habit — a few seconds per question, which adds up to minutes across a paper.
